Whats goin on with my 4wd?
I have a 1990 jeep wrangler, have had it for 3 years now, i've been around jeeps and 4wd vehicles my whole life so i don't need any smart ass comments lol, just some good advice from a mechanic or good ol jeep owner! it has the 4 by 4 posi-lok on it, the light comes on when it put it into 4hi, 4lo, the front driveshaft even spins but the front wheels wont even budge when i'm tryin to get outa tough situations and i've had to rely on my winch way too many times that i've needed, my buddies who drive trucks are always telling me it's my hubs, go out and buy new hubs, idk they're pretty dumb when it comes to working on vehicles, anyways, any kind of good advice would be awesome, expessially before i go out buy all kinds of unnesisiary parts for my baby, oh and if you have something dumb to say... just move on to another question please, it's hard enough i'm having problems with my jeep, i don't need lil doomers like yall trying to make fun of me or my jeep, anywho thanks a lot yall
On the pass. side of the axle, there is a vacuum module that engages the 4wd. They go bad. Change it to a manual cable type and you will not have this problem again!
