Christmas Shopping For A Teenager Is Hard Work
As parents it can be a difficult task to by the perfect Christmas gift for a teenager. Teenagers are probably the hardest person to shop for. If you have a teenager on your Christmas lift this year, it does not matter if it is a boy or a girl you will undoubtedly be wracking your brain for what to buy this person. The teenage years are hard because the person is becoming an adult but they are not quite there.
You want to be careful not to buy a gift for a teen that you might buy for an adult. They would more than likely be very unhappy with it. You also have to be very careful to not buy a gift a child would want for your teen. This will make them quite angry and they will hate it. So you are saying that does not leave me much to pick from. Electronics and hobbies are a sure bet.
All teenager love electronics and I believe that most people have a hobby or two. You may want to spend some time talking to the teen before starting your shopping. Ask them about things they enjoy doing, and what type of things may interest them. This will give you a pretty good idea of where you might need to start with your shopping. If you have a teen that loves sports then the logical place to start is a store that sells sporting goods.
If your teen is more into the technology and electronics sort of thing then you should visit a local store that specializes in these things. Electronics stores are a great place to shop; they offer things as small and simple as a laptop bag or as big and expensive as a laptop. You may be shopping for a teen that has a laptop; if you are you could consider buying hp laptop skins for their stockings.
Some teens are very into ATV's these days. If you have a teen on your shopping list that owns an ATV the perfect gift would be ATV accessories. You can find these at any place that sales ATV's. If you are not sure what accessories to buy then a gift card to the ATV store in your area is always a sure bet.
Teens are not always easy to shop for, but if you take a few minutes to talk to them they are usually very helpful. All you need to know is what interests your teen. That is the best place to start from, if you are shopping for things that your teen is interested in then you are bound to buy something they will enjoy.

How much duty will be charged on a lap top sent to Canada from the USA?
I sent a lap top as a gift to Canada and was told that the reciever may have to pay duty. Does any know how much they would charge and what is the limit that they won't charge?
The duty rate will be the federal tax (GST, 5%) plus the provincial rate, which in Ontario is 8% but will vary from province to province. This will be figured based on the value you declare. Sometimes they let gifts slide, but sometimes they charge duty. Good Luck! We get mail from the states and we were charged duty only once so far.
