If You’re Thinking Of Becoming A DJ You’re In The Right Place.
It offers you so many fantastic experiences. However that doesn’t mean it’s all straight forward though.Pioneer CDJ 400 Review One area that can be tricky is sorting out playing gigs.
Today I’m going to take you through some consideration to make when playing a gig. The first thing to think through is who you’re playing for. Usually the age of the guests will be an important factor.Pioneer CDJ 400 The event can be wide ranging. From a charity evening to a birthday party.
This will determine many of the things you’ll need to do on the night. The venue you’ll be playing in will be the next thing.
The location you play at will often make a big difference. A really large venue will mean that you need great speakers.
Where as a small venue you can create a difference ambience. The next one is your style of play and their preferences.
They may or may not want you to call things out on the mic. They’ll also probably want certain types of music at certain time. For example when the buffet’s on some very quiet music to be played.
How much space you’re going to have there is also really crucial. If you only have a small amount of room you have to be compact. So you need to check this out in advance to be certain.
Ask the host and see if you can view it before hand. Finally you need to consider how long you’re going to be playing. Playing for several hours will require certain considerations.
Similarly just getting a 20minute slot will also need to be thought through. Consider what that will mean for the music you play. So there you have it. My top considerations for being a DJ.Pioneer CDJ 400 Mixer Hopefully now you feel more confident in getting out there and playing.
You’re going to really love getting into the world of the DJ. All you have to do now is get out there and do it.
So that’s it for today. Take care and have fun.
What are the best CDJ's & mixer for a beginner?
Hi, I was thinking of buying 2 Reloops RMP-1's and plugging them into my midi controller.
But anyways, what CDJ+mixer do you think is the best for a beginner (best price/quality). And what are the specifications I have to look to?
Additional question: If I want to start DJing, what do I need? (external soundcard, amplifier, speakers, cables)
I'm a total newbie at this, need help!
If you want to DJ using your computer but want to use CD player at the same time I would suggest going for the Numark MixDeck. This is a CD/MP3 Player/Mixer combo unit that has an iPod dock plus and USB. Whether your music is on CDs, MP3 CDs, USB flash drives, iPod, your computer, or even other analog players, you can mix and perform with it.

In terms of amplifier/speaker setup, you have two options.
1.) Go with the usual 15" Speakers + Amplifier setup. You have to run 2 XLR output (3 prong plug) cables to an amplifier and output from amplifier to your speakers.
2.) Go with Powered/Active speakers. This setup has the amplifier integrated with the speaker. All you have to do is connect the 2 XLR output straight to the powered/active speaker's input and your good to go.
In terms of portability and convenience I'd go with number 2, less wire, less equipment to haul around. But for more advanced and or tricky setup like extra speakers and equipment, number 1 would be my choice.
I hope this answers your question and in-case you need new;
