Hi, my mom just bought me the Gateway DX 4710-09 (she can still take it back if need be) and I was wondering if anyone here has one and can tell me the pro's and con's of it..like give me a review. I can't find one anywhere..and how long have you had it? I have had my HP for 11 years now and nothing major has ever gone wrong with it..but it has Windows 98 so its time for a new computer..though I do plan to get a router to connect the two together ( for a while atleast)..but yeah I need the pro's and con's on this computer..I did read somewhere that the monitor isn't very good and I will have to spend an extra $70.00 for an adjustable stand that adds 4 extra USB ports..

I recently bought this machine. Though, due to the Integrated video card, this isn't a gaming machine. But if you spend the extra $70 - $160, you'll find this computer can handle the majority of your gaming desires. Your mother purchased a fantastic machine for the money. I guess it comes down to what you are using it for. If you're a student, this is a system which will exceed your needs. If you're a gamer, throw in an after market video card. The only cons I see with the computer are the limits of PCI and RAM expansion, each only have 2 slots.
I am able to run photoshop cs3, ms-office, various web browsers, and an online game (World Of War craft) at the same time without any sluggish performance.
As for your monitor concerns, unless mom is rich, I don't know of a fantastic monitor that comes bundled with any desktop.
I run an LG 22 inch with 4ms for my photoshoping needs. I also found having wireless network is far more cost effective than a hardwired one. Kudos for your mom. In times of economic crisis, she got you a wonderful system.

though anti-lock brakes are a stand-alone option.
The 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale also benefits from a monocoque frame and the
first electronically adjustable suspension on any superbike anywhere. That's
not the only technology on board, though - a GPS-based data acquisition system
will track your performance as you kick the Panigale around your favorite
track. That little trick is a first for production motorcycles in general.
